Sunday, March 09, 2008 @ 5:44 PM the carnival is finally over. good sales. too good. in 5 hours, everything was gone. aha. The experience was quite cool. Donuts arrived at about 7.40am, and we moved all of them from the van to our stall. He promised us 10 flavours, but we had TWELVE. The girls were so amazed, including me. Haha! So for the first time in my life, I experienced working in a bakery, some sort. Set up the stall during assembly [hehe one of the four people who could stay in the stall]. Labeled the stacks cos there were so many, like at least 24. Did display, all that. The carnival started even before we finished setting up x_X so was pretty overwhelmed at first, cos not used to where the flavours are and to memorise what the customers want and getting the donuts with efficiency. After that we became smarter and organised the stacks, plus packaged the donuts into the plastic bags first. So its grab and go! :) there was this guy who bought THIRTY DONUTS. lol. Mad. Otahs arrived at about 12.45pm and all of them were sold out at like, 1.45pm? Super fast man. People were like buying in bulk or something. Cos they just want to SPEND THEIR COUPONS. So everything was sold out at 3pm. Actually, virtually everywhere had no food cos all sold out. Wahaha. Relatives came at around 4pm, brought them around. Was supposed to go for Jamm and Hopp, but didn't cos of the above reason. Anyway I heard it was quite bad so.. haha might as well don't go. Visited the haunted houses, which were more like laughing houses, with the girls after my relatives left. Then packed up the stall and everything. And after much ...nonsense (not from us) we went HOME. This carnival proved to me that really, (sorry chinese typer will screw my com up) chuan dao qiao tou zi ran zhi. It'll just fall into place in the end. Yay. (even though my arms are super achey now and my feet almost broke yesterday lol) now to march holidays. airport therapy. :) |
